Last night
Tonight is the last night we're sleeping in this apartment. We're leaving the keyes sunday so it can be cleaned and then, from friday the 14th, it's not ours anymore. It's with split feelings I move actually. It's feels very nice, funny and cool to move in to the house but at the same time I'm going to miss the apartment and to live with a minutes walk to everything I need.
It's not like I have a long way to the city from the house, it's just 10 minutes by bike, but anyway.
I will stop rant now. I'm happy about it, it just freakes
me out sometimes because it's such a big change. But I'm sure I will love it, especially when we're heading against spring and summer. Then I get to work in the garden, chopping down trees and plant some flowers and spices.
By the way! Last night we got our SMEG! As soon as we unpack it I will show you!

Wallpaper
We started to set the wallpaper in the kitchen yesterday. It was really hard and we had to tear two of them down. But after a couple of hours the four first parts is in their places. They is also the hardest ones to set so tomorrow it will be much easier.
We chose this wallpaper called Volare.
Now we're heading out to meet some friends from Brussels. First time they're visiting us here in Malmoe, normally we just see each other in our hometown.

Four days to christmas..
..and we did so much in the house this week and weekend. I spent most of the time painting, I like that and it's getting so pretty. We even started in the living room now with the roof and all the white.
Last night Vera called and invited us for home made pizza. It was just so lovely, after all that work, to be served food like that, and in good company as well.

Tonight we went and bought a stove which is getting delivered right after christmas. We fell for this one. Also from Smeg.
I hope you had a really great weekend.

I want back!!
I'm soooo tired of my f'**king hand right now. Not just that I want to be able to do things in the house, I also want to start my muay thai and my roller derby again!! And most of all I want to pass the minimum skills test in roller derby in late january, otherwise I can't participate in any scrimmage or bouts.
Please Santa - let my hand be healed correctly and well!

Cold as ice!
We did a u-turn about the kitchen today. Haha two step forward and one step back. We'd planned to buy a little bit cheaper fridge and stove for now and redo the kitchen in five years or so. But today we rethought that again.
We want what we want and why wait?
So today we threw out a cupboard, moved another to make room for the new fridge. We also need to grind and paint some surfaces again but we will do anything for this lovely Smeg we ordered now.
Isn't it pretty??
With a little help from my friends
Pleease help me out here! We're now ahead of our plan with the kitchen and we haven't decided wallpaper yet. We've come so far that we know that we want yellow, yes we love yellow, but we can't decide which one. First we wanted Rut from Sandberg but that didn't come in yellow unfortunatly. Now we're choosing between this two. The first is Stephen from Sandberg and Pepita from Happy. What do you think?

Sneaky peak
Maybe this will be the wallpaper in the dining room. From Pip Collection, Ealy bird.
Wouldn't it be perfect with our big teak dining table?

Hours and hours
We done a lot today!! I mean, really much. We had help from Rasmus and Ulrika the whole day and all of us four has been working between 9.30 and 17.00. The kitchen is now all done for painting and all the grinding in both the kitchen and the living room is done! They spared us a whole day.
Now it's time for some pizza and wine and maybe some fun game or so.

This pictures is in between pics, the next pics will be when it's almost done. All the paint anyway!

Daily outfit
I bougth this faboulus pair of pants yesterday. Oh no! I'm going to the dark side. Haha.
Anyway, I really needed them now when we are working in the house everyday.

We were at Bauhaus, shopping a lot and also found this tap for a price that just was a tenth of the other. And I think it's really cute.
Strike a pose
The tap, brilliant
Now I'm on my way to Aarhus for the second Christmas celebration already. A whole lot of food. Oh my! I generally don't eat very much of Christmas food, swedish or danish, because it's just loads of meet and I don't eat that. But at the place we're going to today they use to make special fish to me and it's always splendid!

Writings on the wall
OMG! I'm soo tired! I've been out partying two nights in a row now and working in the house on the days. Today we did a lot. Kitte and Vera was visiting and Kitte helped Max to carry out the ugly brown stove and refrigerator. After some coffee with them, we really came in to working mode.
Max has gotten all the bricks showing now and I have torn down all the old wallpapers and thrown the old laminate countertop away.

Now we're just relaxing in the sofa, looking at taps on the internet.
What do you think about this one?

Grumpy
I was at the annual christmas party at work yesterday. We had a lot of fun but missed the train we were supposed to take home so I weren't home until 4 o' clock. Believe me if I say that I was tired this morning. On top of that my arm ached like crazy and all I wanted to do was to start renovate our kitchen!
Anyway, Max went to the house and started in the kitchen and then he came and picked me up a few hours later. When we I arrived I was still grumpy but we drank some coffee and enjoyed the atmosphere. Then we started to take down the tiles on the kitchen wall. I actually could help!
Yey! With just my left hand and a screwdriver I did the whole corner by myself. I must be she hulk or something!
So now the kitchen looks almost as it does in this pictures but we did do a little bit more so it's almost just bricks now. A good day, where we did a little bit more than we thought that we could.
Max looking happy, smashing down the concrete.
Now we're drinking a little champagne to celebrate our house buying and then we're of to Hepcat's X-mas Bash in Lund.

Kitch in the kitchen
We've got the keys to our house today! Lovely! We even met some neighbors that wished us welcome!
We are so happy to get it and now it's finally ours. We're going to renovate the whole house but we're going to start with the kitchen. This is how it looks now and I will show you the progress during the time. Sorry for the dark pictures, I will bring my real camera next time!

The master!
Look what we got from my parents as a moving in gift! A Moccamaster Clubline. It's just so nice! THANKS!!
We never had a coffeemaker before and this one should be the master! We got it a little bit early so we haven't unpacked it yet but when our kitchen is ready it will fill it's place beautifully.
Does anyone have one like this? How is it like?

And not to forget! Today is my mothers birthday! Congratulations mum! I LOVE YOU!

Roses..
I'm looking for a wallpaper to the kitchen right now and I have a hard time to make the decision. Of course things will more easily settle when we actually are in the house but you can't blame a girl for having plans can you?
Remember the floor I showed you? I'm thinking the floor combined with light turquoise cupboards and this dotted wallpaper with roses? I think it will look really good! The wallpaper is from Midbec, collection Belle Rose.
I wonder if they make it with roses in yellow?

Moonwalk
We've found a floor to the kitchen in the house. It's called Forbo Novilon Piso and comes in many colors. We've chose the gray/white one and we'll probably paint the cupboards light turquoise. Pastel is the theme an hopefully it will turn out great! I can't wait until we get the keys!
